Busy busy busy..

I've been busy making a set of Christmas ornaments.  My first ever set of white and blue felt. Lightly stuffed just to give them body.  I really think these are cute. .. wait, before you tell me they aren't so good. I know the reindeer stitching is off... I confess I did this at 3a.m. when I couldn't sleep and the light was dim.  Didn't even notice it until after I looked at the picture. I'm fixing it as we speak. Anyway, check these out... tell me they aren't cute...J

Easter Arrangements.... all done. Yay me.

Finally got the finishing touches on these.. bows etc.  I am so proud of myself for making such nice arrangements for so little cost.  I utilize the dollar store, the hospice thrift store and what I don't find there I go to Walmart. Most of these arrangements cost less than ten dollars. The smallest one cost four dollars.. and the wreath added up to be right around nine dollars.

This is the biggest, standing about two and one half  feet high

Love this tall arrangement. The vase looks like copper and is about a foot high.

Basket $1.00 at the Hospice thrift store.

This is the smallest of all standing just about one foot high

This is longer than it looks. I used 1x4 about a foot long, covered with plastic table cloth.

Not quite all of them. My long box (following was outside and the wreath isn't included)

Here's the long box..

And last but certainly not least is my Easter wreath.   Love how it turned out.

And that's it until next time.

Busy Busy Busy...

Just finished some cheapo little wooden decoupaged ornaments.  I've done these before but I had better wood then.   Some of these are very small, measuring less than two inches.  Seemed hard to do them. Didn't have the pictures I really wanted. But now they are done and I'm here posting pictures while looking forward to what I'm going to do next.

Remember those shoebox dioramas in grade school?

Well, this is not one of them.

I've been seeing cute little altoids and the like, tins decorated in all sorts of ways on pinterest.. Just had to see if I could make one.  It's a simple little thing but it turned out cute anyway. Might one day try something a little more complicated... don't know yet.. J

Inside.. 3 D

Outside.. I covered the bottom of the tin too

Jars... just simple little Jars

I'm reverting back to my childhood..  I've been seeing all these great looking jars that are filled with things or painted... or transformed in one way or another so I decided to join the bandwagon and try my hand at painting canning jars.  These two small jars I decided to use for Q-tips. I usually buy the big boxes of them and then put a few in the drawer in a snack size baggie which after opening and closing a few times becomes difficult.. the closures don't work right, Q tips fall out and get scattered all through the drawer... so wallah. I put an end to all that.. mess with me and you get jarred... J

Here they are together

Here you can see how the Q-tips fit perfectly

Here's the pink one in my bathroom

And here's the brown one in Mac's bathroom
