How about a bookmark?

One year I made bookmarks and put them in all my Christmas cards.. they were fun, easy and added a little something special. We also made bookmarks at the facility where I worked. Cut from heavy posterboard and covered with pretty paper. I punched a hole in it for the tassle which was made from embroidery thread. I painted over the bookmark with clear sealer. Easy rainy day craft to do with the kids.

  1. Was wondering what kind of sealer you used. I think we'd have fun making these.. my child loves crafts (so do I) :0)

  2. danielle... I use a product called, Mod Podge. It's white and paints on with a brush. It dries almost immediately. I use that on everything that I want to protect and shine. I think you can buy it in gloss or matte formulas. I usually get the glossy. I even use that on my painted rocks. It does have a smell until its dry, but it's not an awfully horrible smell like lots of shellacs are.
